Mostly just blurry pictures of my cat.

I, for one, welcome our new arachnid overlords.

The purpose of posting this link to a story of spidery vanishment on the ISS is twofold.

  1. Obligatory Kent Brockman reference. Check.
  2. To note that spiders are cannibals.

Although, considering spider eating habits, there probably should have been a sucked-out spider exoskeleton or something laying around. So scratch #2, which leaves us with just the Kent Brockman thing.

In my defense, I have a sinus infection and it’s putting a disturbing amount of pressure on my brain.

What’s cuter than hand-knitted footie pjs?

Dictates from On High

Having cast my ballot early, and doing my personal best to maximize the number god-forsaken libruls populating our Halls of Governance, I’m getting a yen for power myself.

  1. Christopher Buckley is herewith forbidden to ever again utter the word “hottie,” whether or not he is shilling his new book on NPR, on account of the fact that the overly-deliberate way he pronounces it creeps me, and any other right-thinking person, the hell out.
  2. A. J. Jacobs and J. J. Abrams are instructed to pick different names that I am less likely to get confused.
  3. The City of Beloit will distinguish itself as an enlightened municipality by installing EMP devices at random locations. They will be triggered by decibel meters, thereby automatically disabling any vehicle which, though mechanical fault or deliberate contrivance, produces sound at an inappropriate volume.

So let it be written; so let it be done.
