A Tale of Two (or Four) Mittens
One of the things I *cough* noticed when we moved to Wisconsin was that I had a heck of a lot of wool, mostly Reynolds Lopi and Lite Lopi left over from a couple of sweaters I made when I first started out the hobby.
I’d made myself some mittens out of two strands of Lite Lopi held together and knit with a very tight gauge, and they were freakin’ fantastic mittens. The fabric was so firm as to be nearly windproof, and, being wool, they warm even when soggy from windshield-scraping, walk-shoveling, or snowball-pitching. They felted a bit with wear, and were just the bestest mittens ever. (Also, Bill Nye the Science Guy once wore them while handling some dry ice.)
I thought perhaps for Christmas I should Share the Joy by Giving the Gift of Mittens.

Move to beautiful Minnewisowa!
Our citizens are polite and kindly!
The air is clean (because we build our smokestacks high to send our pollution to New York!)
And politicians are very concerned about what we think!
